God dammit, I hate homophobia...

I love living in Seattle (well, Des Moines, but close enough) and I hate being reminded that this kind of stuff is still a reality. See also the video on this KIRO story, and this story at the Columbian.

This is really just what we need, schools collaborating with homophobic parents against gay children. I can't find a reference online, but I heard a clip of the father of one of the girls calling into Dave Ross' radio show, and he used the word "abomination". That should assuage any worries that perhaps I'm mis-characterizing things.

I wish I had something more profound to say, but I'm so angry about this right now I'm having trouble constructing coherent thoughts about all the different ways this is wrong and the many ways that dean of students ought to be punished.
